Government . . . Who Came up with THAT???

As early as Genesis 1:28 we can see the idea of governmental rule. God had just created man and woman, in His image. They weren’t but a breath into God’s infinite timeline and after His blessing, He gave Adam and Eve this instruction:
“Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” nkjv
In Hebrew, this phrase “have dominion over” conveys the notion of exercising domain.
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines governing as “to exercise continuous sovereign authority over.”
We see that when man was just a moment upon this earth, God assigned him to this task of governing the world that He had just created.
God’s creation attests to an orderly rule. The sun rises in the morning, the moon rises at night. The earth hangs in the balance of the universe. The oceans and seas have a resting place. Our very DNA is linked together in an orderly fashion, knit by the Creator, formed with intent.
God gave the Ten Commandments to Moses. **A standard for man to live by. Billy Graham calls them a mirror by which we see that we are in need of a Savior.
Ten Commandments-rules to govern. Moses-a leader of the people.
Jethro, Moses' father-in-law, saw that Moses was overwhelmed with the task of leading the people. It was Jethro who advised Moses to choose capable, honest men, make them leaders and put them in charge over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens.
Hmmm…sounds much like our own Government. Our highest authority in the American Government is our President, then Vice President and the authority continues to break down into state, and local branches.
Wise advice carried out for generations. Who could have imagined? I wonder what Jethro thinks as he looks upon the world today from his heavenly viewpoint. He could not have known that his wisdom would have stretched this far. But God knew. God knew that we would need to have wise, godly men lead us-especially today.
Will you join us on this journey? We have entered a pivotal time. If you're paying attention, at all, you realize that Minnesota has stepped onto the national stage. We are making headlines across the world daily. Some say we are an embarrassment. What do you say?
This is an election year that will set the stage for our children and grandchildren. I believe we are on the front line of a move to strip us of any God-given authority. It’s time to take back the land that God gave us 167 years ago when on May 11,1858, Minnesota became the 32nd state to join the Union.
Stay tuned as we take a deeper dive into the current state of affairs in Minnesota. We are living in desperate times, let's not be a desperate people who flounder about. Let us be brave and wise. Let us seek God's face for this great state and let us take back Minnesota.
Dear God, Have your way with us, we pray. In Jesus' name. Amen.
