Who's to Blame?
I came across these Scriptures this morning. They are a poignant reminder as to why it is important for God's Church to rise up.
Ephesians 5:17-
With the Lord's authority let me say this: Live no longer as the ungodly do, for they are hopelessly confused. Their closed minds are full of darkness; they are far away from the life of God because they have shut their minds and hardened their hearts against him. They don't care anymore about right and worng, and they have given themselves over to immoral ways. Their lives are filled with all kinds of impurity and greed.
Church-how can we save the confused ones, if we conform to their confusion? And if we can't rise up and Vote for Godly principles, then how can we act surprised when we see transgenderism consuming and confusing an entire generation? And how can we help heal those whose lives have been changed through abortion, if we can't even acknowledge how this breaks the heart of God?
We are watching evil consume our nation. Minnesota has removed ALL restrictions regarding abortion-allowing full term babies to die. I know it's hard to believe-but do your own research. We have taken one of the most egregious stances on murder of babies within our nation.
What else has happened under the recent leadership in our state?
We had a 17.5 BILLION dollar surplus in 2023. What happened to that money?
The fraud issues in Minnesota-our tax payer dollars have funded fraud across our state, stretching to terror networks throughout the world.
Minnesotans are leaving the state due to high cost of living and taxation.
Omnibus bills passed which hold no accountability for our representatives. These fuzzy bills are passed containing many issues so we, as constituents, cannot know which parts our representatives stand upon, unless you become involved and have a one to one conversation with them.
A quick Google search will display many of the issues Minnesotans are facing today. And its no wonder. If God's children don't stand up for righteousness, who will?
As a child I remember one youth pastor saying that "as a Christian, we are responsible for those who are lost." That always stuck with me. I would later learn what it meant to be salt and light in the world. We are called to be a people who do NOT conform but who represent Jesus to a broken world. Even Jesus turned the tables. He called out sin. He was the One who stood for the broken, the prostitute, the demonic. He didn't leave them in their sin but sent them with the challenging words to, "sin no more."
My friends, how can we be light if we become consumed in the darkness? How can we be salt if we lose our saltiness? How can we be the change if we don't learn about the darkness that is seeking to invade this country?
My prayer is that God's Church would stand up and be counted as righteous. May we take our place in the darkness and bring the light of truth and hope to others. May we show up and vote on November 3rd, informed, backed by prayer, led by God to take this state back. It IS our responsibility to fight. God didn't call us to relinquish, conform and allow evil to steal our values.
To the 87.5 percent of Evangelical Christians who are not showing up at the polls to vote godly principles, I would ask why? Recent statistics show that only half of you are registered to vote. And of the registered half, only 25% actually cast their vote. And only half of them go to the poll and stand upon godly values.
My friend, each of us has to work this out. I know life is busy. I know there is a lot of confusion, crookedness, and deception out there. But it is our responsibility as God's elect and chosen ones, to work this out with Him and show up to be as light.
I think back to the youth pastors words, and reconsider them. As a Christian, are WE (the Church) responsible for a nation that is lost, and has turned its back on God?
Where do you stand today? We have approximately 45 days to research the candidates, the issues and God's heart for Minnesota. There's still time. Will you show up?
Dear Jesus, show us what we can do today to return Minnesota back to You. Speak to our hearts and show us where we can stand for your principles. Teach us Lord. We need the wisdom that comes from heaven. In your name, we pray. Lord, may your will be done. Amen.
