Words or the Absence of, Matter

I've been struggling lately. Let me explain. I've tried to bring awareness to the latest abortion bill, but I've been accused of believing "fake news". I understand. I was shocked speechless when I heard about full term abortion.

God has broken my heart for these children, lives lost, and broken ones, as hearts mourn for one another. Jesus the healer, the giver of life and breath, hurts deeply, too, for a nation, a people who disregard life with such audacity. My new ambition was to offer others the links to see the law and articles that I was reading. But when I tried to find the new law, it had disappeared. I searched and searched. Confused-because I knew what I had read. But All I could find was a vague bill regarding "reproductive rights".

A google search on abortion, would bring me to articles about Minnesota's radical laws. But I was at a road block when I tried to find the law. Or was I? Turns out the law was made so simple, that I had missed it.

Here is the law as I found it at the Minnesota State Legislature Site.

  • Right to abortion chiseled into state law

Senator Mark Koran explained this to me the other evening. All restrictions have been removed. That's why we don't see any limitations. They are NOT THERE. This means anything goes. And lest you think now that this is only about the sanctity of life; the bill speaks to gender mutilation or ANY decisions made regarding reproduction. And parents? Your children can make that decision without your approval.

This new law is radical. Despite an article from the Minnesota Department of Health titled; ***Summary of Findings: Safety, Effectiveness, and Importance of Abortion Care in Minnesota,

"Abortions are very low-risk medical procedures, and there is a very low risk of serious

complications or of potential side effects." (emphasis mine)

My inner voice screams; THAT"S A LIE! Abortion ALWAYS kills the baby in the womb!

Seems to me that we have a very watered down, flimsy law. I cringe when I watch commercials saying that a certain party wants to do away with women's rights-my body-my choice. This reproduction right is written to include ALL people, to include the gender confused child, the newly impregnated, frightened girl. I wonder at satan's attempt to wipe out a complete generation! (Yes-my mind goes there! Why else would it be so important to rip babies from the womb and cut off genitals and breasts?)

Do you see the bigger picture here? Our future. The future of America.

In a recent interview with **Day Star, Ministry Now program, Michelle Bachmann is quoted as saying that Minnesota Governor, Tim Walz, "passed the most egregious pro-abortion legislation in the United States up to the moment that a baby has died". She states that 8 babies, alive, were left to die under this new policy.

When did we stop protecting the most innocent? When did we determine that the baby doesn't have a right to life? Who will stand up for these babies?

Dear Lord, I am so very sorry for not seeing your heart for these babies, and our children. I confess, I was busy and I haven't paid attention. Lord, your Word is clear, that you love the little children! You say that unless we become like them, we will not see the kingdom of heaven. Mark 10:13-16

Please forgive us and give us the ability to stand for the things that hurt your heart, Lord. Make us brave, bold and able to stand. Give us wisdom as we head into this election. May your truth be revealed to us. May we, as a nation, return to you. In your precious name, we pray, Jesus. Amen.
